Getting started: Adopting a cat with Lucien!


Translation

"In response to the call for 'adopt, don't shop,' the Love Land Municipal Government has integrated various animal rescue centers within the city..."

The "Love Land City Animal Rescue and Adoption Center" was established, and the "Take It Home" campaign was officially launched.

Starting today, citizens can adopt their favorite pet simply by registering their personal information at the "Love Land City Animal Rescue and Adoption Center"!

As I looked at the news on my phone, I couldn't help but feel a little tempted.

Kasa: Simply register your information, fill out the form, promise to feed your pet and not abandon it, and accept regular follow-up visits from the center...

Kasa: I can do all of these things, no problem at all!

Kasa: But what kind of pet is best to adopt?

Kasa: Cats are sweet, dogs are cute... It's so hard to choose!

Kasa: Should I ask him?

After thinking it over, I decided to call Lucien.

To my surprise, the call was connected very quickly, after only two rings.

Kasa: Lucien, I...

Lucien: Are you struggling with pet adoption?

Lucien's voice was tinged with a smile as he clearly stated my purpose.

Kasa: How do you know?

Lucien: This event has been teased for a long time. I remember you hesitated several times before the registration method was announced.

Lucien: I received your call just one minute after receiving the push notification.

Lucien: Therefore, I made a reasonable guess.

Kasa: Yes! To my shame, I'm still struggling with this...

Kasa: So I thought I'd ask if you have any suggestions?

Lucien: Instead of agonizing over it at home, I think it's better to go and check out an adoption center.

Lucien: You might just spot your favorite animal at first glance, and then you won't have to struggle with choosing one.

Kasa: That makes sense! I'll pack my things and we'll leave now!

Lucien: I'll be back from the research institute soon, could you wait a few minutes?

Kasa: Will you go with me?

Lucien: Um.

Lucien: I don't want to miss this lovely moment.

Kasa: I heard that adoption centers offer cats and dogs; maybe I should decide which pet I'll want to adopt first!

Kasa: Let's look at the cat first.

Lucien: Let's take it back and let it get used to its new environment.

Kasa: Starting today, I have my own cat!

As I walked out of the adoption center, I buried my head in the little guy's fur and took a deep breath.

Kasa: You are so soft...

I couldn't help but sigh softly, but when I looked up, I saw a hint of a smile flash across Lucien's eyes.

Kasa: Welcome to our family! My name is Kasa.

As I spoke, I raised its paw and gently waved it at Lucien.

Kasa: Come say hello to Professor Lucien!

Lucien chuckled softly, leaned down slightly, and touched its paw pads.

Lucien: It's nice to meet you. What should I call you?

Kasa: We call it...

...Kisu!

Lucien: I think this room should be big enough for Kisu to move around in.

Lucien: Touch it and see if it reacts differently.

Lucien: If you want to cheer it up, why not try using a toy?

Lucien: Remember to leave some food in its bowl.

Lucien: This is the little one's toilet; remember to clean it regularly.

Lucien: Change its hygiene products regularly.

Today is Kisu's first day home. When you picked it up, it didn't resist, as if it was stunned.

Lucien:  It seemed to be still unaware of what had happened.

Lucien:  Just as I thought, Kisu has a very strong learning ability.

The cat has been meowing at the corner all day.

It turned out that its favorite pom-pom was stuck under the table. It got wet, so you picked it out for it.

Lucien: Hmm...it seems there are many "surprises" hidden in the corners of the house.

Introducing my pets

  • Lucien: Kisu
  • Gavin: Gingo
  • Victor: Pudding
  • Kiro: Sipsi
  • Shaw: Kolli
Kisu and Kolli are based on my late cat friends, and they both kind of remind me of them because of their appearance. 💖 As you probably already guessed, Gingo's name comes from Gavin's trademark gingko leaf. And yes, I know it's not exactly the most creative name, but I just couldn't resist naming Victor's cat Pudding lol. It's a pretty popular name, and there are often several Puddings fighting against each other in PK matches. xD I kind of regret not using the Finnish word instead, which would have been Vanukas. That would have fit nicely together with Kiro's dog Sipsi, which means Chip in Finnish.

Both of my doggos are cute pink princesses, while Pudding is a diva who absolutely loves food (surprise). Kisu and Kolli are the more playful ones, and Kisu does the best in PK matches because he has the highest Karma boost score, hehe.
