Harvest Event - All Chicken Stories

Although I skipped the farm-life-themed cards, these chicken stories were freely accessible during the event, which was nice. Every guy had a short intro explaining how they ended up helping take care of the chickens. Besides that, we had two short dialogues per boy and an easy minigame that required a little bit of deduction.

(Sorry about the random chicken noises in some of the intro scenes. I have no idea why the background sound effects sometimes stayed on when they weren't supposed to. x'D)

Lucien

Intro

Translation

Kasa: Aunt Ye at the village entrance... has fifteen chickens that we need to take care of for a week...

Kasa: Grandpa Sun next door has ten chickens and needs to be fed by someone tomorrow and the day after...

I sat at the stone table in the courtyard, taking notes on the needs of different "clients" in my notebook.

During this time, word spread throughout the village that we were helping with the farm work.

Having earned a good reputation, several villagers who were going on trips asked us to help feed their chicks.

Thinking of how much everyone has taken care of us these past few days, we gladly agreed.

Lucien: Kasa, how's the planning going?

As the voice spoke, a plate of sliced cantaloupe was placed in front of me. The bright yellow flesh was juicy and looked very appetizing.

But since I still had "work" to do, I quickly pulled out a stool and gestured for Lucien to sit down.

Kasa: The tidying up is almost done. Next week, we will help five villagers feed their chicks, a total of fifty-nine.

Kasa: However, some villagers' chicks like to eat watermelon, while others prefer bottle gourd... We'll have to keep an eye on that.

Lucien: In terms of quantity, the task is not too heavy.

Lucien: It just means sacrificing some of our time in bed.

Kasa: Yes, I never expected that coming to the village would lead to an unexpected "side hustle".

Kasa: Fortunately, the company group often posted messages about home feeding services and order acceptance.

Kasa: So these procedures aren't unfamiliar to me, and I hope everything goes smoothly from here on out.

Kasa: Please, please, let's hope there's no chick escape incident...

Lucien: Don't worry, even if that happens, I can get them back.

Lucien: I've become quite familiar with the routes around here after walking around with you for the past few days.

Lucien smiled, picked up a slice of cantaloupe, and held it to my lips.

I took a bite, intending to continue organizing the requests in my notebook, when a refreshing sweetness bloomed on my tongue.

Kasa: Wow, it's so sweet! Where did you buy it?

Lucien: Um... it wasn't bought, it's my "salary" from part-time work.

Lucien: This morning, as I passed by a courtyard, I saw a little boy doing math problems by counting on his fingers.

Lucien: His grandmother was trying to teach him with a pen, but he just couldn't learn it, and his face turned red from holding it in.

Lucien paused for a moment, and from his smiling eyes, I could roughly guess what would happen next.

Kasa: So Professor Lucien went to help teach and successfully unlocked the children's "Ren and Du meridians" (a concept in Traditional Chinese Medicine).

Kasa: And then you brought this melon back as a thank you gift?

Lucien: While it's not as exaggerated as you described, it's roughly like that.

Looking at the melon in front of me and the notebook in my hand, I thought of something and gave him a bright smile.

Kasa: Lucien, let's work hard together!

Kasa: You're sure to receive lots and lots of special "thank you gifts" then!

Chicken Dialogue 1

Translation

It's a pity I didn't have the equipment with me, otherwise I could have started the research immediately.

-

Kasa: These chicks are so cute, they're all so chubby.

Kasa: Oh dear... another one has run right up to my feet! Lucien, look!

Lucien: Cute things always attract each other. It's clear it likes you too.

Lucien: Can I join in too?

Kasa: Okay, um...? Why did you bring your sketchbook?

Lucien: (^-^) This is a great place to collect materials

Lucien: So I wanted to take advantage of my break to paint the scenery I like.

Lucien: Lovely Kasa, you don't need to pay attention to me. Just treat me like invisible air for now.

Kasa: Okay.

Kasa: But I felt a little embarrassed when you kept staring at me.

Lucien: But I'm like this all the time. ( •́︵•̀ )

Lucien: Could it be that... there's some difference?

Kasa: Of course there's a difference, because just thinking about you drawing me...

Kasa: I would want to present my best self to you, and gradually, it became less natural.

Lucien: But I also like you even when you're not so "natural".

Lucien: So show me what you look like.

Lucien: I don't want to miss a single second of you. o(* ̄︶ ̄*)o

-

Lucien: You cried half an hour earlier today than the past few days. Are you having trouble sleeping?

Chicken Dialogue 2

Translation

Kasa: Wow, we've harvested so many eggs!

Lucien: I think it's because the little ones have seen Kasa's hard work.

Lucien: So they're also secretly working hard so you can get a surprise early on.

Kasa: Oh, so good.

Kasa: I'm going to treat them to something special today! I'll cut up a sweet, big watermelon to reward them.

Lucien: Excuse me, miss, am I also eligible to receive a similar award?

Lucien: After all, I've been trying really hard these past few days to make Kasa smile.

Kasa: Haha, of course!

Kasa: Professor Lucien, what kind of reward would you like? Just name it, and I'll definitely grant it!

Lucien: Hmm... but I'd like to give you that choice.
( •́︵•̀ )

Lucien: That way I can receive unexpected surprises.

Kasa: Well………………(*^3^)!

Lucien: (^-^)

Lucien: Actually, I had already guessed that Kasa would do this a second ago, so it can't really be considered a surprise.

Kasa: ...

Kasa: (*^3^)! (*^3^)...!

Kasa: This was a double surprise attack; you'd never guess that, would you?

Lucien: (^-^) Can I tell a little lie right now?

Kasa: What?

Lucien: "I guessed it."

Lucien: So please continue, Ms. Kasa! o(* ̄︶ ̄*)o

-

Raising chickens is a very enjoyable process, and there are gains every day.

Lucien: Eat a little more; you need to replenish your nutrition.

My comments

Lucien is like both a boyfriend and a parent to me lol. Bringing sliced fruit is something my dad often does for me, too. And here's another example of how good he is with kids. Basically, Lucien just needs to exist and the math problem is solved. + He can now add “math teacher” to his résumé.

Both of Luci's mini-dialogues were sweet♥ Awww, that “I also like you even when you're not so ‘natural’” was such a nice thing to say. He basically means that you can still shine in his eyes even when you're messing things up, hehe. And then there was the “cheating” when he wanted more reward kisses. >.-3

Gavin

Intro

Translation

The morning sunlight streamed through the curtains and fell on my face. I blinked groggily, but the warmth eventually pulled me out of my dream.

I rolled to my side as usual, and the familiar spot was now empty.

Kasa: Have you already gone for your morning exercise?

I picked up my phone, and the video from last night started playing automatically on the screen, with a light melody echoing in the bedroom.

Two fluffy yellow chicks were chasing and playing, and in the blink of an eye they grew into a proud and upright mother hen.

Colorful fireworks exploded on the screen, and a line of large, flashing text appeared: "Congratulations, you've successfully collected all the eggs!"

This is a charity event I recently participated in. By completing tasks in the app to receive feed, I can feed the chicks and harvest eggs, which are then donated by the organizers to a primary school in a mountain village.

Gavin and I specially registered a family account to complete the mission together, and donated more than 30 eggs in less than half a month.

I edited the process of raising chickens into a video and posted it on social media. I never expected it to go viral overnight.

I exited the video and looked at the 99+ likes in the notification bar, and I couldn't help but smile. Just then, I heard a soft sound outside.

I peeked out of the bedroom and saw Gavin walking in, dressed in sportswear and carrying tofu pudding and egg pancakes. When he saw me, a gentle smile appeared in his eyes.

Gavin: Are you awake? I brought back breakfast.

I ran over to him, wrapped my arms around his waist from behind, and watched him put breakfast into a bowl.

He gently patted my hand, his voice tinged with helplessness.

Gavin: I just finished my morning exercise and I'm covered in sweat.

Kasa: It doesn't matter~

I dampened a towel and carefully wiped the sweat from his face and body, then casually placed a cooling patch from the table on his forehead.

Kasa: How does it feel?

Gavin: Much more comfortable.

He relaxed, squinted his eyes, and pulled me to sit down in a chair.

Gavin: Oh right, I've collected the feed for getting up early and exercising today.

Kasa: Great! I'll go feed the chicks!

I was about to switch to the app when a message popped up in my private messages bar, so I clicked on it.

"Hello, we are staff members from the 'Collect an Egg' charity event team. We have seen the video you posted, and the publicity effect is excellent."

"Therefore, we would like to invite you and your loved one to visit our farm in the mountains this weekend and participate in a field trip to the chicken farm..."

Kasa: Gavin, the event organizers invited us to experience raising chickens.

Gavin took the phone, swiped his finger across the screen a few times, and carefully examined the authentication information.

Gavin: It's an official account, so it's probably not a scam.

I leaned on his shoulder and clicked on the farm photos they had attached. Amidst the lush greenery covering the mountains, a stream meanders gently around the wooden fence.

A few chicks strolled on the grass, and wisps of smoke rose from the houses in the distance, creating a scene as beautiful as a landscape painting.

Just as I was engrossed in watching, my earlobe was suddenly pinched gently.

Gavin: Want to have some fun?

Kasa: I'm a little tempted... but are you free?

Gavin: The office isn't too busy lately, so I can take a few days off to have some fun.

Kasa: Hehe, then I'll agree to their request.

Gavin: Okay, we'll set off as soon as the holiday starts.

Gavin: Kasa, I've brought the feed over.

Kasa: You can leave it there; I'll feed it. (*^▽^*) (• θ •)

Gavin: I've changed the bulb for the fill light.

Kasa: I'll turn on the light then. (*^▽^*) (• θ •)

Kasa: Phew... Work done, let's go eat!  (*^▽^*) (• θ •)

Gavin: Okay, does this little chick want to go too?

Gavin: It seems like you're carrying it everywhere you go today.

Kasa: Yes, it chirps as soon as I walk away.

Kasa: I looked it up online, and it says that chicks are timid and afraid of being alone, so they tend to be clingy when they're lonely.

Gavin: But the other chicks don't seem to do that.

Kasa: Perhaps it's because it was the only one that hatched last night.

Kasa: It was smaller than the other chicks, so it probably didn't find a friend it liked.

Gavin: …Wait for me a moment

Gavin: I'm back (o▽o) (• θ •)(• θ •)(• θ •)

Kasa: Huh? Why did you bring so many chicks back?

Gavin: I got them from the chicken coop next door; they were all about the same size as this chick.

Gavin: It can go play with its favorite chicks and give me back the person I like.

Gavin: (。o‿o)(* •▽•*)(• θ •)(• θ •)(• θ •)(• θ •)

Gavin: You can fry a big sunny-side-up egg and eat it together in the evening.

-

Kasa: Gavin, don't you think our chickens seem to be getting fatter and fatter?

Gavin: Really?

Kasa: Yes! They all look like balls!

Gavin: They probably just have a lot of fur.

Gavin: Let me check. (⊃◕v◕ )⊃ (• θ •)

Gavin: It's belly is kinda solid ∑(○口○).

Gavin: It seems a little overweight.

Kasa: What should we do?

Kasa: If this continues, they might not even be able to get into the chicken coop!

Gavin: Don't worry, starting today, I'll help them create a weight loss plan.

Gavin: Snacks were discontinued, and regular meals were replaced with high-protein, vitamin-rich, low-fat meals.

Gavin: Then every day I supervise their exercise, doing running and flight training.

Gavin: Before we leave, we must make sure they return to their normal weight (OvO)୨☆

Kasa: Okay, then I'll leave it to Instructor Gavin.( *⁰▽⁰ )ノ

Kasa: However, we fed them the standard feed, so why is this happening?

Gavin: Sigh, it's probably my problem.

Gavin: I usually feed them any leftovers.

Gavin: Like the shortbread you buy at the market, as well as peanut biscuits, turnip cakes, and the like.

Kasa: …It sounds to me like most of them ended up in my stomach.

Kasa: Gavin! I need a weight loss plan too! >w<

My comments

Gaviiiin, you can't just let the conversation hang like this! He should have said something like, “It's great that you want to improve your health, but there's no need to lose weight” but he just stayed silent. 💀 lololol. Ah, but it would be kinda cute if MC also joined the chicken exercises planned and supervised by Gavin. It would have made a great little ministory! I can already imagine MC flapping her arms during the flying exercise! xD

Gav and MC's interaction in the intro was sweet. It's cute how he lets MC take care of him. And of course, Officer Gavin also makes sure to check that the invitation message MC received isn't a scam.

Shaw

Intro

Translation

Shaw: I see you've circled the village twice already, what are you looking for?

Kasa:  Little Radish!

Kasa:  I haven't seen Little Radish all day. Do you think it might have gotten lost?

Little Radish is a new friend we met in the village; she's a mischievous kitten that's only three months old.

Shaw: The village is so small, where could the cat possibly go? Maybe it's sleeping somewhere.

Kasa:  No, I still have to go look for it. What if it got pecked by a chicken?

Shaw: Do you think cats will be bullied by chickens?

I nodded seriously and emphasized it to him in a solemn manner.

Kasa:  That old hen in the village is fierce; you remember how scared we were when we came here?

Shaw's eyebrows twitched, clearly recalling some unpleasant memories as well.

Shaw: Okay, I'll help you look for it.

---

We walked along the village paths for the third time.

The bright sunlight turned the rice paddies golden, and the wind carried the scent of straw.

Kasa:  Radish-

Radish: Meow Meow

Suddenly, a few plaintive meows came from the chicken coop.

As soon as I heard it, I grabbed Shaw and rushed over. Sure enough, Little Radish was squatting at the entrance of the chicken coop, his back hunched over with a wary look on his face, and a few straws stuck to its head.

On the other side, several fluffy chicks were protected behind their mother hen, who flapped her wings, creating a scene of "chickens flying and cats jumping around".

I rushed over and separated them, letting Shaw pick up the Little Radish.

Shaw stroked the cat's fur, then his gaze fell on the door of the chicken coop. He exclaimed "Oh!" in sudden realization.

Shaw: I see.

Shaw: It probably discovered that the chicken coop door was broken, so it wandered around and went to sleep in the coop, whereupon the mother hen mistook it for a "chicken thief".

The old hen clucked nearby, as if agreeing with Shaw's reasoning.

Little Radish was clearly not convinced and wanted to have a showdown with the Old Hen.

Kasa:  Stop fighting! The mother hen is doing it for her chicks!

I poked the  Little Radish's nose. Looking at the chicken coop, an idea popped into my head.

Should we help the mother hen take care of the chicks during this time? And maybe we can also try to smooth things over between the cat and the chicken?

Shaw: Tsk, as a model citizen of Love Land City, you not only mediate relationships between people, but now you're even trying to manage relationships between animals?

Kasa:  No?

Kasa:  And look how fluffy and cute these chicks are!

Shaw: I can tell, you just want to play with both the  Little Radish and the chicks.

I chuckled as Shaw saw through my plan.

Kasa:  So, are you coming along too?

Shaw: I can help, but I won't be a "mediator" for nothing.

Kasa:  What do you want in return?

Shaw couldn't suppress a smile. He grabbed Little Radish by the armpits and shook it.

Shaw: Hmm... just add an extra egg for me every day.

Chicken Dialogue 1

Translation

Shaw: Come on, let's have a meal together.

-

Kasa: Shaw, Shaw, come quick! Is this hen about to lay an egg?

Shaw: Why are you so excited about it laying eggs?

Kasa: Of course, it's because I've made a major discovery!

Kasa: Doesn't its cry sound incredibly mesmerizing?

Kasa: After observing for several days, I can tell that this is the sound of an egg being laid.

Shaw: Is this a major discovery? I don't hear it.

Shaw: Otherwise, you can demonstrate it for me so I can recall if this was the same situation before.

Kasa: It's something like "cluck cluck~~da~~".

Shaw: That's great, our band is just missing a sound engineer, you're the one.

Shaw: Your varied pitches are more interesting than sampling from real animals.

Kasa: ...

Kasa: Sh—aw!

Shaw: I could tell from the sound that this was the prelude to someone trying to attack me. ヘ(-ω-ヘ)

Kasa: \(○`目'o)/

Shaw: Hey hey hey! Stop chasing me! The hen really laid an egg, are you going to look or not?

Kasa: Really...

Shaw: I'll steal some and fry an egg for you, then we're even?

Kasa: Mm-!

Shaw: I understood again. That's the sound of "Thank you, Shaw, you're so kind!"

-

Shaw: Hey! Don't you understand the saying "a good rooster doesn't disturb sleep"?

Chicken Dialogue 2

Translation

Shaw: It's better to have gold inside than gold on the outside.

-

Shaw: How come there's an extra spot in the chicken coop?

Kasa: That spot is where I give my honorary chicks!

Kasa: It was rewarded for its courage in standing up when an unknown animal broke in.

Shaw: Tsk, when has any unidentified animal ever wandered into our chicken coop?

Kasa: When I arrived this morning, I saw chicken feathers scattered all around the hen, which was fiercely guarding her eggs.

Kasa: And didn't you say that Da Huang and Er Huang had been acting suspiciously lately...?

Shaw: Impossible. Those two stupid dogs only dare to wander around outside the fence.

Kasa: Ah...do you know what happened last night?

Shaw: I'm guessing they fought over territory.

Shaw: You did a good job; you solved a problem by accident.

Kasa: However, this spot is mainly for hens that need to incubate eggs, or for sick or weak chicks...

Shaw: Even chickens need "priority seating"?

Kasa: That's right, this is the best ecosystem!

Shaw: Aren't you afraid that one day they'll fight each other over this "priority seat"?

Kasa: No, they will get along very well.

Kasa: Besides, if that day really comes, you, the "best chicken farmer," wouldn't just stand by and do nothing, would you?

Shaw: …If it's about "best rabbit breeder", I might consider it.

-

Shaw: They eat their fill and then sleep; they resemble whoever raised them. But it's good this way, they don't make noise.

Shaw: Don't be afraid, I've already taught them all a lesson, they definitely wouldn't dare peck you.

My comments

Aw, if the story involves a kitten, I'm automatically interested! It's cute how MC was worried about Little Radish, and of course Shaw saw right through her motives — she wanted to play with both the cats and the chicks. Luckily, he was willing to agree to take care of the chickens for a pretty small reward this time. Surely there should be plenty of eggs to go around when you're working at a chicken farm!

The best part was when Shaw suggested that MC could become a sound engineer for their band after she started imitating chicken noises, which hurt her feelings and made her start chasing Shaw. Oh, I wish they could have animated them running circles around the chicken nest. It's funny to notice how MC's personality sometimes changes depending on who she's with. Her chasing any of the other guys would be weird, but with Shaw? It fits perfectly.

Victor

Intro

Translation

"...Using coconut milk instead of some of the regular milk will give the pudding a unique flavor..."

"...While the pot is boiling, let's blend the berries into a puree for later steps..."

The pudding on the screen trembled, and the delicate berry cream topping flowed down smoothly like silk, radiating an enticing sheen.

I hid under the covers, staring at the screen, and unconsciously swallowed.

I don't know if it's some kind of mystical phenomenon, but food videos I stumble upon late at night always seem especially tempting.

Kasa: It looks so smooth and tender...

I muttered to myself, still wanting more, and reached out to click "Jump to the next episode." But before the background music started, a low voice came from above.

Victor: Watching movies at this hour? Are you planning to sleep until noon tomorrow?

The blanket above my head was pulled back. I instinctively turned around and met Victor's deep gaze.

The person who should have been asleep long ago yawned and looked at me with an unfriendly expression.

Kasa: Why are you still awake!

Victor: I was almost asleep, but in my half-awake state, I suddenly noticed that the blanket next to me was glowing.

Victor: Thanks to you, I'm not sleepy now.

Knowing I was in the wrong, I turned off my phone and rubbed against his arm.

The swaying shadows of the trees in the courtyard pierced through the window and fell on the thin quilt with bright red floral patterns.

Kasa: Oh dear, there's a reason for this... I want to eat pudding.

Kasa: But there's no oven here, so I can only watch videos to "quench my thirst by looking at puddings."

He gave a noncommittal hum, twirled my hair with his fingers, and suddenly spoke.

Victor: Actually, you can make it with an electric rice cooker.

Victor: However, the flavor is very different from what you usually eat.

I paused for a moment, then looked up.

Kasa: Any flavor is fine! Hehe, I have 200% faith in Mr. Victor's cooking skills~

Victor: When someone is flattering another, they always know how to provide emotional value.

Kasa: What flattery! I'm just speaking from the heart.

After I finished speaking, I rested my head in the crook of his arm, raised my hand, and began to calculate happily.

Kasa: To make pudding for two people, we need four eggs. Assuming we make it every two days, and we're staying here for a week...

Kasa: That means we need to go shopping tomorrow morning...

Victor: No need to bother.

Victor: This family had contacted me before. If I needed to rent a few chickens, I could ask them, and we'd settle the bill when I left.

Kasa: Hehe, that's even better! Now the ingredients are truly delivered to the kitchen at zero distance!

Kasa: I wonder what pudding made with such fresh eggs will taste like?

I was happily imagining it when I heard him give a soft shush.

Victor: We'll talk about it tomorrow; this isn't important right now.

Kasa: ...So what's important?

A soft laugh came from the darkness, and he raised his hand to cover my eyes.

Victor: Sleep together.

Chicken Dialogue 1

Translation

Victor: Your mother is over there, don't follow my shoes.

Victor: When did an ostrich sneak into this flock of chickens?

-

Kasa: Little chicks, grow up quickly! Lay lots of eggs and bring them home!

Victor: ...▼-▼?

Victor: What are you singing?

Kasa: Hehe, it's an encouragement song I composed myself!

Kasa: After hearing my song, they will put in all their effort to lay more and better eggs!

Victor: ▼v▼ Is this another theory invented by a Dummy?

Kasa: No, no, there's evidence to back this up!

Kasa: I saw a news report before that piglets are more willing to eat when they hear music!

Victor: So you think this principle applies to chickens too?

Kasa: (*^▽^*) Of course~

Kasa: Think about it, is there any research paper that says "chickens will reduce their egg production when they hear beautiful singing"?

Victor: Putting everything else aside, this person is quite adept at finding every opportunity to praise himself.

Kasa: Hehe, Mr. Victor, why don't you sing along? Maybe it'll double the effect!

Kasa: One two three!

Victor: ....

Victor: ▼Д▼Little chick, little chick, grow up quickly…

Kasa: (*^▽^*) Lay lots of eggs and send them home~

-

Victor: …Its calls are so loud, it's clear it is well-nourished.

Chicken Dialogue 2

Translation

Victor: ...Did a scene from someone's bedtime novel come true?

-

Victor: The chicken coop is almost ready.

Victor: Let's go, we should go back for dinner.

Kasa: Wait a minute, looking at them stirred up some memories, and suddenly a corny joke came to mind!

Victor: ▼-▼What?

Kasa: Once upon a time, there was a little duck that got lost in the forest.

Kasa: Just then, it saw a chicken by the stream, so it quickly went over and asked it where the exit was.

Kasa: Can you guess what the chicken said to it?

Victor: ...Coo-coo?

Kasa: Pfft... Although it wasn't the correct answer, Mr. Victor's response was quite interesting!

Kasa: Getting back to the point, I'm about to reveal the secret! The chicken shook its head and said, "I'm a mother hen!"

Kasa: Hehe, isn't that interesting?

Victor: ▼-▼....

Kasa: So, what are we going to eat later?

Victor: Hen.

Kasa: Σ(;°д°)......?!

Kasa: Victor, are you joking too, or are we really going to...?

Victor: ▼v▼Dummy, guess for yourself.

-

Victor: As the pillar of the family, of course she can eat more.

My comments

MC and her craving for pudding even keep her awake at night... I'm not sure how MC managed to persuade Victor to go along with it, but him singing the silly chicken song MC came up with was SO HILARIOUS LOL! XD And my face was exactly the same as Victor's after her joke: ▼-▼ I didn't get it either. (Or maybe the translation was just weird?)

Kiro

Intro

Translation

Kasa: Recipe 1: About half a bucket of corn, add one-third soybean flour, and then add a little bran.

Kasa: Formula two still uses half a bucket of corn, but the soybean flour is one-quarter, and the bran should also be increased to one-quarter proportionally...

Kiro: Hmm... if you calculate it that way, I'll need to buy at least three large bags of corn and one bag of soybean flour.

Kasa: We also need two packs of fish meal and bone meal, as well as a bag of limestone powder, to supplement calcium.

As night fell, Kiro and I lay on the kang (a heated brick bed), comparing the feed formula given to us by Father Chen, and counting the things we needed to buy at the market the next day.

Although the busy autumn harvest season has come to an end, Mr. and Mrs. Shen's hardworking nature keeps them busy.

My neighbor told me that the new feed formula has improved egg quality, so I've started preparing to experiment with it.

Kiro: When I helped expand the chicken coop in the afternoon, I realized that it really is true that every profession has its own secrets.

Kiro: The optimal number of chicks per square meter of chicken coop, as well as how to maintain warmth and ventilation...

Kiro: If I hadn't come to Savin's house, I wouldn't have known that there were so many intricacies involved in raising chickens.

Kasa: And there’s more—

Kasa: Laying hens and other chickens have different nutritional needs, so the feed formulations differ—take a look!

I opened my phone's notes app and handed the key points I had noted down to the person next to me.

The rich combination of text and images seemed to widen his eyes slightly, and his finger slid across my screen.

Kiro: Hmm? Kasa actually remembered all of this in such detail?

Kasa: Of course, these are all valuable pieces of knowledge that you can't learn elsewhere.

Kasa: I've saved them all; I might need them someday.

I stretched and leaned comfortably against his shoulder.

Kasa: If we ever retire, we can always find a scenic spot and build a small courtyard.

Kasa: Growing radishes and raising chickens—isn't this kind of self-sufficient life quite nice?

Kasa: Who knows, we might even be able to shine in a new field and become experts in animal husbandry through our own hard work!

Before he could finish speaking, his phone beeped with a notification, and a confirmation email for the filming project popped up.

As I looked at the increasingly approaching date, my previously high-spirited tone involuntarily dropped.

Kasa: Unfortunately, you can't have both the hustle and bustle of the city and the idyllic countryside; it'll be a long time before I can live that kind of life...

Kiro: Who said I'd wait until retirement?

The person next to me turned over and pulled me into his arms, his blue eyes shining especially brightly in the warm light.

Kiro: Now that we have the perfect timing, location, and people, we can definitely try it out on the "test server" first.

Kiro: We're going to the market tomorrow, which will be a good opportunity to buy more chicks to put in the chicken coop, and discuss with my aunt and uncle how we can take care of them ourselves.

Kiro: Isn't self-sufficiency just around the corner?

Kiro: Hehe, to help you get a good night's sleep, I've decided to use magic to defeat magic!

Kiro: Give them a little rehearsal, and maybe they can turn their noise into a song!

Kasa: Did the great conductor Kiro even arrange formations for singing practice? (°д°)

Kiro: Bingo~ Let me introduce the members of the "Farm Choir" —

Kiro: The members on the left are the roosters in the high register, and the ones on the right are the hens in the middle register.

Kiro: Before us is our adorable little chick children's voice troupe!

Kasa: That sounds perfect! But isn't the volume of the children's voices a little low?

Kasa: I felt like the high and mid-range notes drowned out the sound when I listened to it just now.

Kiro: Don’t worry about this~

Kiro: Several new eggs were laid today. As long as we keep a close eye on the hatching process…

Kiro: \(@^0^@)/ New members will be joining the children's choir in a few days!

Chicken Dialogue 2

Kiro: If you're full, would you like to listen to my newly composed lullaby?

Kiro: I hereby announce: The Ultimate Evolution version has now been added to the Chicken Raising Legends Encyclopedia.

Kiro: 100 Ways to Cook Eggs Why are you looking at the recipe?

Kasa: Because boiled eggs, steamed eggs, scrambled eggs, fried eggs...

Kasa: (ノへ ̄、) I'm also getting a little tired of the fried rice and tamagoyaki I've been eating these past few days.

Kiro: (`..)/(._.`), The production capacity these past few days has indeed been a bit too high.

Kasa: At first, I was worried about how to take good care of these chicks...

Kasa: It has now progressed to overcapacity, and it seems to have only taken a few days. ( ̄o ̄)

Kiro: However, looking at it from another perspective, it's a good thing, proving that we've learned everything the villagers taught us.

Kiro: <(^▽^*))) I've raised these chicks very well! That's why I can harvest so many eggs every day.

Kasa: That makes sense! We should thank them properly.

Kasa: How about baking a delicious cake and a plate of crispy egg tarts, and frying some muffins to share with the villagers?

Kiro: Great idea! We can add some honey, and the strawberry jam we made yesterday.

Kiro: As for the remaining eggs…

Kiro: (^▽^)ノ Let's explore 101+ ways to cook this potato together! Witness the birth of the "King of Cooking Potatoes"~

My comments

Nah, I felt like Kiro's stories were again the weakest of this set. Of course, their future plans about living a self-sufficient life and the “Farm Choir” were cute, but that's about it. I wasn't particularly interested in their discussions about different recipes, so there's not much else for me to say. 😅
