Car Gavin - All or Nothing Event Translations

3, 2, 1, a new solo set has begun! Same story as always: I didn't get the card, but here are all the other event contents I've translated!

Looks like I'm finally on time with Gavin for once haha. (Since he started this rally-themed card series, I basically have to get his translations out of the way before I can move on to posts about the other boys.)

Intro

Translation

Kasa: Wow, is this the headquarters of the Obsidian Apex racing team?

As I entered this spacious, modern park, I gradually slowed my pace and looked around curiously.

The silver-white buildings are scattered in a well-organized manner, and the glass walls reflect the lush tree shadows and sky. Many staff members wearing work badges walk back and forth.

Kasa: This is my first time visiting the Y1 team's base...it looks so cool!

I couldn't help but shake our clasped hands with curiosity. Gavin turned to look at me and smiled happily.

Gavin: When you see the track later, it'll be even cooler.

Kasa: Will the stadium be very large?

Gavin: It's very big, the wind is strong, and it sounds great.

He smiled and casually gestured, and a gust of wind suddenly rose, as if a speeding car had already sped past.

I stood there gazing at it, and the blood in my body seemed to surge with excitement.

Before long, Gavin will also be sitting in a Y1 racing car, enjoying himself to the fullest.

Kasa: Hehe, I'm imagining what it would be like for you to sit in a race car.

Kasa: I'm thinking of buying some high-speed cameras so I can capture your handsome figure clearly!

Gavin: No need to go to such trouble.

Gavin: Your eyes are better than any camera.

Gavin: No matter how fast I go, you can still see me clearly.

I wanted to say something more, but he seemed to notice something and waved towards the building in front of us.

Gavin: Hi Lofa.

Lofa: Gavin, welcome.

A middle-aged man walked briskly down the steps. Although he had a smile on his face, the fatigue in his eyes was obvious.

After the two shook hands solemnly, Lofa turned his gaze to me.

Lofa: Hello, Kasa. It's great to meet you. I've often heard Gavin mention you.

Lofa: You must be tired from your journey. Come with me, I'll introduce you to the other members.

After entering the meeting room, we officially met with the members of the Obsidian Apex team.

After the introduction, I had a vague feeling that something was off.

These people from different countries were surprisingly calm, even subtly so, and their gazes seemed somewhat unfriendly.

Especially when sizing up Gavin...

Kasa: Gavin... Is it just my imagination? I feel like the atmosphere is a bit oppressive.

I whispered to Gavin, who glanced at the seated members without making a sound and gave a slight twitch of his lips.

Gavin: Not surprising.

Gavin: Being in Y1 is very stressful, so it's normal to be serious and not smile much.

Gavin: So don't worry about it too much, Lofa will take us to visit the training room and driving simulator soon.

Gavin: It's much more interesting there than here.

At the same time, Lofa beckoned us to leave the meeting room, and Gavin, understanding the gesture, stood up and took my hand.

Gavin: Let's go, let's set off.

Daily Dialogues

DAY 1

Kasa: Gavin, you've worked hard in training! Come and take a break.

Gavin: Okay, but it's not over yet. We'll need to strengthen our neck exercises later.

Kasa: Neck? Wait, why are you wearing a hood? Is that training equipment?

Gavin: Yes, neck muscle strength is very important for race car drivers. When rushing through a curve at high speed, the neck experiences a lateral acceleration of up to 5G.

Kasa: Wow! I never knew racing was this intense!

Gavin: If it were an untrained ordinary person, they would faint instantly. Although I already have some training, I still need to practice more on my neck.

Kasa: So, you're going to build muscle by resisting the force of equipment?

Gavin: That's right, the current counterweight is 50 kilograms. A set of 15 seconds usually lasts for two hours. But for the first training session, the coach said it would depend on the situation.

Kasa: Okay, keep it up! I'll be right here with you!

Gavin: It's best not to look at me.

Kasa: Huh? Why?

Gavin: ...My face will look distorted and unattractive later.

DAY 2

Kasa: Wow... I've seen scenes like this on TV before. But seeing these mechanics practicing changing tires in person is still quite awe-inspiring! Why can it be changed so quickly?

Gavin: Because regular car tires have five or six lug nuts, but the Y1 uses a center-locking wheel hub — That is, there is only one screw, so it can be quickly disassembled and assembled.

Kasa: Oh, I see. Wait a minute... Gavin, your eyes are shining right now.

Gavin: Really? Maybe it's because the weather is nice. Kasa, look. The pneumatic wrench they use for changing tires is also worth studying. The material is carbon fiber, which can effectively reduce weight and save physical strength. It's also basically used for the car body.

Kasa: Haha, you're really excited! Can you really be this happy just by watching from the sidelines?

Gavin: Hmm. I would be even happier if I could try it out. I'll go ask around in a bit if I can get a chance to try it out.

DAY 3

Gavin: ...When driving over the shoulder on Turn 1, precise maneuvering is crucial; otherwise, it's easy to lose traction. When exiting a curve, avoid crossing the shoulder and stay close to the white lane markings.. Minimize the straight-line distance as much as possible…

Kasa: Pfft hahahaha...

Gavin: Huh? You're here.

Kasa: Actually, I've been here for a while now. It's surprising that this student studied so diligently and didn't fall asleep.

Gavin: OvO Of course, you won't be sleepy if something is interesting.

Kasa: What kind of knowledge is so interesting? Share it with me!

Gavin: I'm studying the race track for this competition. It's one of the fastest tracks, so you can practice a lot of details on the curves. With precise operation, the performance of a racing car can be maximize. But to achieve that completely is very difficult.

Kasa: It's difficult, but you can do it!

Gavin: So confident in me OvO?

Kasa: Of course, you are the omnipotent Gavin. And Gavin wasn't asleep, so he's definitely fine.

Gavin: ....

DAY 4

Gavin: Kasa, the weather is nice today. Even the wind was just right.

Kasa: Yes, everything is just right... and the competition is coming soon. Gavin, are you nervous?

Gavin: Sometimes.

Kasa: Really? I can't really tell. All I can tell is that you seem very happy. Whether it's training, meetings, or doing nothing like this... Just hold the steering wheel and feel everything about racing.

Gavin: Yeah? I don't know if this counts as being happy. But I know it's all "fun," so fun that I want to win. I want to enjoy every second of the race.

DAY 5

Gavin: Jeff, can I see the monitoring data from the simulation exercise? .... Let's start on hard tires tomorrow, and use the same angle for the front wing as in the third test. Let's see the speed of the maximum single lap during practice.…Okay, thank you everyone.

Kasa: Gavin, is the discussion over?

Gavin: Well, the final competition strategy can only be discussed and decided after the ranking matches are over.

Kasa: Wow... As expected of Commander Gavin, he's so handsome wherever he goes! I just read your post, and the team members all seem to agree with your suggestions.

Gavin: In addition to monitoring data, driver feedback is also very important. Everyone respects each other's professionalism and judgment.

Kasa: Hmph, it's not just about mutual respect, is it? It seems that after this period of adjustment, you all are becoming more and more united. It's completely different from the tense atmosphere at the beginning!

Gavin: Maybe they still want to win. Everyone in the team wanted to win.

DAY 6

Kasa: Phew... Today is the free practice match. Go for it, Gavin!!

Gavin: You look nervous.

Kasa: Of course, I know you've prepared a lot for this day. So even if it's just a practice race, I want you to have a comfortable and enjoyable run.

Gavin: I will. I've been waiting for this day for a long time. However....

Kasa: What?

Gavin: You forgot, I was nervous too. So you have to help me; only you can do this.

Kasa: Umm? Tell me, what do you want me to do?

Gavin: It's very simple, just kept looking at me. That way, I will be full of fighting spirit and courage.

DAY 7

Kasa: Phew... Gavin, the ranked matches are finally about to begin. And the weather today is exceptionally nice, so good that I have a strong premonition— On this day, all your wishes will come true.

Gavin: Yes, I have the same feeling. In any case, it will run very smoothly.

Kasa: You seem less nervous today?

Gavin: I probably know very well where my own and the car's limits are. But when the limit is truly reached... I'm really curious to know what it feels like to run up there.

Kasa: It must be so exhilarating and liberating! And you will definitely be very, very handsome.

Gavin: Kasa, I'll make sure everyone sees this car. Let this car be the pride of everyone at Obsidian Apex.
