Halloween Event Translations 1/2 ♦ Lucien & Victor ♦
Spooky greetings! Get ready, because I'm planning to publish several Halloween-themed posts! 🎃
Let's kick things off with these dialogue translations from the minigame featured in the current Halloween event. This time, I've split the translations into two parts, so up first are Lucien and Victor, while Gavin's and Kiro's sections will be coming later.

Kasa: This is...animal blood solution?
Kasa: The merchants are selling it for exorbitant prices, and here they have a whole box of it!
Kasa: And these scrolls, they must be quite old, right?
In the dimly lit room, I opened my eyes wide and looked with a bit of excitement at the rows of shelves covered in a thin layer of dust.
—While cleaning the room with Lucien this morning, he accidentally knocked over the tapestry on the wall. Behind the fluttering cotton fibers, a hidden door was revealed.
I carefully pushed him away, only to discover that there was another space inside.
I heard a rustling sound behind me, and Lucien walked up to me with a candlestick in his hand, looking at me thoughtfully.
The dim yellow light flickered slightly with his movements, making the space in front of him even brighter.
Lucien: Most of the wax seals on the scrolls feature designs commonly used in the last century. It seems these items have been preserved since then.
I took the scroll from his hand and examined it with great interest, when I heard the person next to me chuckle softly.
Lucien: Actually, the entrance to the secret room wasn't hidden at all.
Lucien: Kasa must have lived here for a long time, how come I didn't notice her?
Kasa: ...Collecting and studying herbs in a new place takes a lot of time! So after buying this house, I haven't renovated it.
Kasa: Later, when I had a little more free time at work, I "coincidentally" met a succubus who gradually took over all my free time.
Kasa: Later, I drank a magic potion and temporarily forgot everything, but he made me laugh so hard I was completely bewildered.
I drew out my voice and glanced at him, watching his eyes crinkle into crescents.
Lucien: Well, so it was my fault.
Lucien's slender tail lifted the candlestick and deftly placed it high. Suddenly, a scroll wobbled and fell to our feet.
I bent down and picked up the paper from the floor, looking at the mostly stained paper, and read it aloud with a puzzled expression.
Kasa: 《◆◆Magic Imprint◆◆ Tutorial》......?
Lucien leaned down, his gaze passing over my shoulder to the lines of smudged text.
Lucien: Hmm... this seems to be a guide to teaching people how to master some kind of special magic.
Lucien: Moreover, all the materials mentioned above happen to be available in the room.
I followed his gaze to the half-open box not far away, and a thought struck me.
Could the previous owner of this house have deliberately created this secret room specifically for research purposes?
I wonder what achievements people made a hundred years ago...
Kasa: Lucien, how about we...
Lucien: Why don't we give it a try?
Our voices rang out simultaneously. I turned my head and saw that Lucien's eyes were also sparkling with interest.
Lucien: It turns out that a certain young lady had the same thought as me.
Lucien: Let's see what secrets we eventually uncover.
Dialogue 1
Kasa: Lucien, I suddenly feel that we shouldn't have started this work so hastily...
Lucien: Hmm? That lady seemed quite excited when she spotted the tray just now. Why did you change your mind so quickly?
Kasa: I was so happy to see so many magical materials at first! But to my surprise, when they were sorted, they were as endless as a mountain. I was planning to take you to that shop on the corner for some freshly baked pastries, but now it's too late. ><
Lucien: Oh, I see... I remember the last time you came to see me, you brought cookies you baked yourself. If we have any leftover materials, why don't we try making it ourselves?
Kasa: That's possible, but it definitely won't taste as good as that other restaurant's.
Lucien: (* ̄︶ ̄) But it suits my taste perfectly. Especially after a busy afternoon with Kasa, this is the taste I most wanted to try.

Dialogue 2
Kasa: This plate is finally sorted!
Lucien: Thank you Kasa for your hard work. The smudged parts of this teaching material are gradually fading. In a few more days, we will be able to see the whole picture.
Kasa: Great! What kind of magical inscription do you think it will teach?
Lucien: Hmm... Based on the current information, we can only confirm that its effects are not dangerous. But I'm a little curious, what kind of magic does Kasa hope it is?
Kasa: Hmm... maybe it's some kind of mood magic! No matter what bad things happen, you can always brighten your mood again! When a person is no longer frustrated, they regain the power to change the status quo... Why are you looking at me like that?
Lucien: I just think your idea is very unique...and also very cute.
Kasa: /(//•/ω/•//)/ So, what kind of magic do you hope it is?
Lucien: Probably induction magic. That way, whether I sense you're in danger or simply missing you... I can be by your side anytime.

Dialogue 3
Lucien: Although it's still a bit blurry... this seems to be the imprint of mind-reading magic.
Kasa: But how could such powerful magic have been forgotten here? I'm starting to wonder if this tutorial is a prank.
Lucien: That's certainly possible. But since you've already gone to the trouble of restoring it, why not try it on me? Kasa must be curious about its effects too, right?
Kasa: /(//•/ω/•//)/ It's a little... Well, I'm going to start now! You've been helping me sort through materials for so many days, aren't you bored?
Lucien: Of course not. Rather, this is the time I look forward to most every day.
Kasa: Why do you often look through books on herbalism? Is that one of the subjects tested in a succubus's exam?
Lucien: No, it's just that I'm curious about knowledge that I haven't yet mastered. And I also want to learn more about the field you are most passionate about and familiar with.
Kasa: And...wait a minute!!! ∑(゜Д゜ノ)ノ I'm still half a stroke away from finishing this engraving! So, what you just said...
Lucien: Of course it's true. After all, I've always been completely at ease in front of you. I am never afraid to tell you my innermost thoughts.

Victor
Intro
Translation
Kasa: "◆◆Magic Imprint◆◆ Tutorial"... What is this?
I pulled out a rather old scroll from the cluttered bookshelf and frowned in confusion.
The text above was almost completely covered by some unknown stain, and only a portion of the text information could be barely discerned.
Kasa: Victor, come and see what this is!
Victor: ....
Victor was reclining in a chair reading a book. When he heard me call him, he just looked up at me.
Ever since that night we were trapped in this patchwork space, I've found that this person is "difficult to get along with."
After observing for a while longer, I can now immediately understand the hidden meaning in that gaze.
"I have no obligation to come over and answer your questions."
Ha, that's just like the Great Demon King's style!
I grumbled to myself, but I still stepped across the "boundary" between the two rooms and came to him.
Kasa: This seems to be a free gift from the shop owner when I bought a collection of books many years ago.
Kasa: It seems to be some kind of magic tutorial, but a lot of the text is obscured... Can you tell what kind of magic it is?
Victor: Can't tell.
Victor: But since it's a free gift, its value is obvious.
Kasa: What?
Victor: Useless.
Kasa: Hmph, I knew you wouldn't say anything nice.
Kasa: Since you're unwilling to help me, I'll figure it out myself!
Kasa: Anyway, researching all sorts of strange and unusual magic is both my hobby and my job.
I took out my staff and was about to return to my workbench when I heard his voice again behind me.
Victor: You're always so reckless; do I really need to remind you?
Victor: You don't have a single one of the magical materials mentioned in this scroll. How do you plan to research it?
Kasa: I almost forgot, I can't leave here to find materials right now.
So I turned back to Victor's side and put on a fawning smile.
Kasa: Victor, don't you have that "Treasure Vault"? You can take out all sorts of things from it!
Victor: So what?
Kasa: Hey, can you help me? Help me find all the materials on this scroll.
Kasa: As for what kind of compensation you want, just name your price.
Victor: I've said it before, I don't lack money.
Victor: I'm also not interested in your "useless" magic.
Kasa: Yeah, I know.
Kasa: So stop beating around the bush and just tell me what you want.
Victor: So you're saying you can give me anything?
Kasa: If it has that value, I'll give it to you.
Victor: Okay, you'll owe me then.
Victor: I hope that when I ask for something, you won't go back on your word.
Victor: And all your attempts to cheat will be null and void.
Dialogue 1
Kasa: Victor, while I was sorting through these magical materials, a thought suddenly popped into my head! If you used these ingredients as cooking materials, wouldn't they taste delicious?
Victor: ...Not satisfied with just getting free food and drinks these past few days, do you have some new scheme on your hands now?
Kasa: Mr. Demon King, am I that kind of person? I just think you are very passionate about cooking, take every ingredient seriously, and bring out its original characteristics. That's why I'm curious whether these magical ingredients can also be transformed into delicious dishes under your spatula~
Victor: I have no interest in satisfying your curiosity.
Kasa: Hmph, you stingy little thing!
Victor: You were just very polite in calling me Mr. Demon King. I've seen plenty of people who change their tune depending on the wind, but I've never seen anyone as foolish as you before.
Kasa: What do you want to say…
Victor: You can make your own dinner today.
Kasa: No, dear Demon King!
Victor: You're on your own about what to eat tomorrow.

Dialogue 2
Kasa: Victor, the stains on the scroll seem to be fading slowly. Perhaps in a few more days, we'll find out what kind of magic is imprinted on it!
Victor: Really? I have reservations about that.
Kasa: How to say?
Victor: Any magic that passes through your hands has a chance of causing an accident. The fact that we're stuck here is the best proof of that.
Kasa: It's different! That time was truly an accident; after all, there are always many uncertainties when researching new magic. However, this magical imprint must have been verified by its owner multiple times before it was preserved in written form. Therefore, as long as I follow the same method, there will be absolutely no accidents.
Victor: ...
Kasa: Victor, why are you looking at me like that?
Victor: With what kind of look?
Kasa: Three parts doubt, five parts silence, and two parts watching the show.
Victor: ...
Kasa: Wait, your eyes have changed again. You're speechless right now, aren't you?
Victor: ...Go get busy.
Kasa: Don't go, okay?
Victor: I'll consider trying a new dessert tonight. If you want a share of the profits, then keep quiet.
Kasa: I'm off to get busy, bye!

Dialogue 3
Kasa: Phew, after all this effort, this magical imprint has finally revealed its true form! .....“Silence Magic”? Wait, what kind of magic is this?
Victor: Try it and you'll see.
Kasa: Oh…! Ugh, ugh…!
Victor: It seems the answer is obvious.
Kasa: Uh-huh!
Victor: From your expression, I can roughly guess what you're saying. "Victor, please save me!"
Kasa: Hmm! Mmm!
Victor: "Victor, you stood by and watched someone die; you are a true demon."
Kasa: Whoo! Ugh!
Victor: "Victor, I was wrong, please help me break the spell."
Kasa: .......... Victor, eh... I can suddenly talk? Waaaaah, I knew you wouldn't be so heartless. But this magic is so bizarre, no wonder it was a free gift.
Victor: It seems that at this moment, you can finally understand how I feel.
Kasa: What exactly do you mean?
Victor: Experience it yourself.
Kasa: ...You're not suggesting that my magic is also this inexplicable, are you?
Victor: Good, you've finally been smart for once.
